Super Chevy returns to Royal Purple Raceway September 29-30, 2012

BAYTOWN, Texas (August 13, 2012) – The 2012 Super Chevy Show presented by Ron Craft Chevrolet at Royal Purple Raceway is one of the most exciting and entertaining events on the calendar, but it is also one of the most special race weekends at the track.  The Super Chevy Show serves as a backdrop to a greater cause in recognizing and supporting the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

The charitable arm of the raceway is the Royal Purple Raceway Foundation which benefits Wounded Warrior Project and Combat Marine Outdoors.  During the Super Chevy Show, the RPR Foundation will host a 15 team BBQ cook off competition, a military appreciation motorcycle ride that will escort wounded military service members to the race track, and an afternoon music concert featuring Justin Haigh following racing competition on Saturday, September 29th

The Super Chevy Show presented by Ron Craft Chevrolet is expected to be one of the best events of the season, with sportsman and professional drag racing, a top-flight car show, autocross, a car corral, swap meet and vendor midway displays.
The celebration kicks off on Saturday, September 29th with the Super Chevy Show Cruise that will leave from Ron Craft Chevrolet and proceed 20 miles through downtown Baytown and end at Royal Purple Raceway.  The drag racing portion of the Super Chevy Show will feature competition in both bracket racing and junior dragsters.  The pro show will feature the Outlaw Fuel Altered big block Chevrolet Shootout as the highlighted event.
